Best Monitors For RTX 3070 Ti (Gaming, 4K, 1080p, 1440p)

Here is our selection of the best monitors for rtx 3070 ti – interesting definition for owners of the next generation gaming consoles as well. We have selected the Ultra HD monitors that offer the best performance.

We have chosen, by price level, Ultra HD monitors which deserve your full attention while remaining below the € 600 mark. The criteria taken into account are image quality, in particular the quality of color reproduction, gray levels and temperature, but also the depth of blacks (contrast ratio), the ergonomics of the monitor, including the possibility of height adjustment improving comfort and responsiveness, which is important for video games.

Note also that it is very difficult to find responsive and affordable Ultra HD monitors in terms of price. If you are looking for performance above all else, it is better to turn to Full HD gaming monitors., cheaper and more responsive, especially those with a 144 Hz panel. Owners of an Xbox Series S / X supporting 1440p can choose a Quad HD monitor which provides a significant gain in terms of definition while maintaining very good performance. Finally, the most demanding will turn to an Ultra HD 120 Hz television with an HDMI 2.1 input.

Our guide to buying also include the ultra-wide monitors with a UWQHD definition of 3440 x 1440 pixels, and 144 Hz monitors.

The other points to watch out for when you buy a monitor are ergonomics (in particular the presence of a height adjustment for more comfort), consumption and connectivity. Here are our favorite models …

  4. Acer Nitro XV282K KVbmiipruzx 28″ UHD (3840 x 2160) HDMI 2.1 Monitor
  5. ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 32” 4K HDR 144Hz DSC Gaming Monitor

  7. AORUS FV43U 43 KVM HDMI 2.1 Monitor

1. LG 27GP950-B HDMI 2.1 Monitor

LG 27GP950-B HDMI 2.1 Monitor

This is the second monitor equipped with a 1 ms Nano-IPS panel, displaying Ultra HD definition and being able to support a native refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Succeeding the LG 27GN950-B, the LG 27GP950-B stands out from the competition by using a 27-inch Nano-IPS panel displaying Ultra HD definition (3840 x 2160 px). It can also support a native 144Hz refresh rate, and even 160Hz via built-in overclocking .

Compared to its predecessor, the novelty is the integration of two HDMI 2.1 inputs while the previous model was satisfied with 2.0. The adoption of HDMI 2.1 allows this screen to be perfectly compatible with the new game consoles (Xbox Series X / PS5), and therefore to support Ultra HD streams at 120 Hz (4K 120 Hz), as well as the Variable Refresh Rate. This is the same technology G-Sync and FreeSync, which allows to calibrate the monitor refresh frequency to the number of frames per second sent by the console in order to avoid the tearing of the image ( tearing ) and jerks (stuttering).

For PCs, this monitor retains a DisplayPort 1.4 input that uses DSC (Display Stream Compression) essential to display Ultra HD content at 144 Hz and above. If your graphics card is not DSC compatible, you have to be content with an Ultra HD 120 Hz 8-bit stream. Of course, the monitor is compatible with FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync. This monitor also has two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone output.

On the screen side, the manufacturer announces a peak brightness of 400 cd / m² and VESA HDR 600 certification, which implies that the peak of brightness could reach 600 cd / m² with HDR content, without further details. . This 10-bit IPS panel covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space, the viewing angles are 178 °, the response time is 1 ms, but the contrast is limited – IPS panel requires – at 1000: 1. The latter is matt and covered with a 3H anti-reflective treatment, a classic on monitors.

In terms of ergonomics, we find all the settings of a high-end monitor with that of the height of 11 cm, the tilt between -5 ° and + 15 ° and the pivot allowing the switch to portrait mode. However, it does not offer rotation.

Be careful, to get the most out of this screen, you need a very, very powerful graphics card.

2. Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1

Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1

The Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1 is a very good Ultra HD monitor with well thought out ergonomics and complete connectivity. It is the perfect companion for those looking for a multimedia monitor with a very large work surface. It corrects the main flaws found on the Samsung U32R590 , but displays a slightly lower image quality that can be corrected using a probe.

The Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1 is one of the few 32-inch Ultra HD monitors with height and rotation adjustment as well as a USB hub while being sold for an affordable price.

The Iiyama XB3288UHSU is compatible with FreeSync technology and by extension with G-Sync (not certified), which dynamically sets the screen refresh rate to the number of frames per second produced by the graphics card, this in order to avoid the phenomenon of tearing of the image ( tearing ) and micro-slowdowns ( stuttering ).

The supported frequency range is rather reduced since the FreeSync only operates between 38 and 60 Hz, but this still allows to avoid jerks with this Ultra HD definition very demanding for graphics cards. It is also necessary to be equipped witha high-end graphics card to consider Ultra HD gaming in good conditions with a good level of graphics ( GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / RTX 3080 TI / Radeon RX 6800 XT or better).

3. SAMSUNG LU32R590CWNXZA 32-Inch 4K Gaming Monitor

If you are looking for a monitor capable of the best performance without having to empty your Booklet A, you may have noticed the recent arrival in our review of the Samsung U32R590. Tested in mid-December 2020 , this curved VA LCD panel over a radius of 1.5 m has immediately made a name for itself in our buying guide dedicated to 4K .

Obviously, at this price, it will be necessary to be satisfied with a rather simplistic ergonomics and to put aside certain functions a little more premium like the FreeSync. So it may not be a product aimed at hardcore gamers , but casual gamers are sure to find what they are looking for.

The Samsung U32R590 is a good, well-calibrated Ultra HD monitor that benefits from a very good finish at this price point. Too bad it skips the FreeSync and is content with basic ergonomics. For the rest, it should satisfy both casual gamers and those looking for a large, affordable Ultra HD monitor.

Tips

The display definition defines the number of pixels displayed by a screen. A Full HD monitor displays, for example, a definition of 1920 x 1080 pixels, or a total of 2.07 million pixels. A Quad HD (2560 x 1440 px) monitor goes up to 3.68 million pixels while an Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) monitor reaches 8.3 million pixels.

The resolution defines a density of pixels on a specific surface. The resolution of a 27-inch Full HD monitor is thus 82 pixels per inch while it is 109 pixels per inch for a Quad HD monitor, which is still 27 inches. There are also 27-inch monitors with Ultra HD definition, the resolution then reaches 163 pixels per inch.

The higher the resolution, the sharper and sharper the image, but it also requires more CPU and RTX 3070 Ti graphics card.

We suggest that most people will be happy with a 1440P 27m monitor but will still benefit from a 4K screen if they can afford it. We generally don’t recommend a 27m screen with a Full HD resolution (or any screen with a density much under looppi), but there are exceptions: for a gamer, a Full HD 27m monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate will be a better choice than a 4K screen that only supports 60Hz.
