Best Monitors For RTX 3080 Ti (Gaming, 4K, 1080p, 1440p)

The 4K video format, also known as Ultra HD or UHD, is the video format of the future and provides four times more pixels than Full HD 1080p, for more detail and better viewing of digital content.

The term 4K refers to the number of pixels on the horizontal side of the image that is being played back. To understand the comparison with other standard formats, 4K offers a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 (horizontal x vertical), FULL HD 1920 x 1080, and HD 1280 x 720 pixels. The last two formats are also commonly referred to as 1080p and 720p, indicating the number of pixels on the vertical side.

4K video therefore offers a significantly better experience, both at the film and video game level (as long as the graphics card can handle 4K gaming).

This format is becoming more and more popular and is becoming the reference resolution for the production and consumption of multimedia video material. It was introduced a few years ago with the latest generation of cinemas, with the blu-ray format, with home theater projectors and with monitors for all types of use, both professional and consumer.

4K is also used for online movie playback, it is no coincidence that YouTube can offer this resolution among the display options, as long as the original video has been uploaded in 4K.

Today, many cameras, including consumer cameras, in addition to professional cameras, record 4K video and there are even professional camcorders that record in 8K format, indicating that the technology is poised to increase the quality of the resolution of video.

Below is the ranking of the best monitors For RTX 3080 Ti available right now with features and prices, from professional and high-end 4K monitors to the cheapest ones with the best value for money.

What it Offers

A true powerhouse, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

Here we take a closer look at the various performances across 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. In particular this is looking at the Ultra graphics settings to see what sort of FPS this graphics card can get across some of the more popular games played in 2021. This card runs recommended graphics requirements of 1000 games from the top 1000 most demanding games being played today.

The 1080p FPS on Ultra for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti shows us that Days Gone is getting a strong result of 118 FPS, and then we are seeing Far Cry 6 predicted to return a good 74 FPS while another game on our list is the Dying Light 2 which is predicted to get 84 frames per second at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Far Cry 6 to predict how the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti would deal with it. Our research revealed a reasonable series of FPS results across these graphics presets – Low: 149 FPS, Medium: 117 FPS, High: 79 FPS and Ultra: 56 FPS.

Next we looked at Dying Light 2 which we predict will be good with a 64 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Days Gone that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 90. In summary we feel the CPUs compatible with GeForce RTX 3080 Ti running at 1440p is more than capable at running this screen resolution. 1440p Ultra across almost all modern games is going to be fairly standard with this GPU. We would consider moving this hardware up to 4K screen resolutions for PC gaming today.

How many years will the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti in your PC? A top gaming graphics card choice, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will not need to be upgraded for at least 3+ years of AAA gaming at top graphics settings

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.

  2. Iiyama ProLite XUB2792QSU-B1
  3. DELL UltraSharp U2718Q
  4. Samsung C32HG70 32″ HDR QLED 144Hz 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor
  5. LG 27UK650-W 27 Inch 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor
  6. Acer XB Predator XB271HKbmiprz IPS 27″, 4K

1. MSI 27-inch Optix MAG274QRF-QD

MSI 27-inch Optix MAG274QRF-QD

MSI reckons its new 4K gaming monitor is the best all-rounder on the market. Is it?MSI was so keen to put its new Optix 27-inch MAG274QRF-QD in our hands that it couldn’t actually confirm all the specs before going to press. However, it’s fair to say the company had very high hopes for this monitor and believed it could be one of the best of its type in 2020. That’s a big call, especially with the impressive Samsung Odyssey G7 recently appearing. While similar, hyperbolic claims usually inspire eye-rolling, but it didn’t take us long to realise that MSI might have a point

Fundamentally, the punchily-named MAG274QRF-QD is a flat-screened, 27-inch, HDR display with an Ultra HD, 2560 x 1440 resolution and a matte finish. It’s designed for eSports enthusiasts and subsequently supports FreeSync, a 1ms grey-to-grey response time and a 165Hz refresh rate. We were also told, “It’s expected to be G-Sync compatible… but is still going through internal testing and validation.”

The sharp, functional styling is reminiscent of its predecessors, featuring RGB accent lighting at the rear and a slim bezel at the front. However, the stand has a smaller, more-robust footprint. Assembly is simple and intuitive thanks to quick-fit connectors, although you’ll need a screwdriver to securely fix the screen to the stand.

An extensive OSD is operated by a single, rear-mounted joystick-button although all features can, impressively, be accessed via a Windows Desktop app which makes settings even simpler to find and tune. All of the usual gaming pre-sets are available and allow you to optimse for FPS, racing, RTS games etc. Ultimately, their effect on display performance comes down to personal preference, but their ability to bork graphical loveliness in the name of exposing sneaky opponents hiding in shadows (by fiddling with contrast) is certainly a boon for competitive gamers. There’s also an array of on-screen crosshairs to choose from to assist with aiming. This is particularly useful for Call of Duty Hardcore mode, which has no on-screen crosshair.

Connectivity is impressive thanks to USB Type-C video input, plus HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4 ports. It swivels, pivots and rotates in all the right ways, but we don’t have exact figures for their range. The “Rapid-IPS” QLED panel is capable of producing bright and vibrant colours with superb viewing angles. It covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

We’re not told which HDR variant it supports but the dynamic range is very good with impressive detail evident in highlights and shadows alike. The lack of (expensive) complex, rear-lighting arrays won’t bother gamers as beautifully-lit, environmental objects can prove very distracting when hunting enemies. It can display a perfectly functional office desktop but, as usual, you’ll occasionally need to fiddle with Windows’ silly HDR settings to fix the picture.

It produced buttery-smooth, on-screen motion plus excellent colour and contrast performance (that can be tailored to a high degree) on every type of game we played.Ultimately, it’s well featured, offers great performance and, at for under $1000, represents great value for a premium gaming monitor. MSI genuinely has a winner here. Everything you could want  from a gaming monitor and at  a reasonable price too.

2. Iiyama ProLite XUB2792QSU-B1

Iiyama ProLite XUB2792QSU-B1

Aside from its lack of USB-C, this is very nearly the perfect 27in monitor. On the face of it, it might seem odd that we’re recommending this 1440P screen when Iiyama is selling a 4K monitor for almost exactly the same price. While the XU2792UHSU-B1 has its undoubted attractions, we think this more rounded monitor is a better choice.

For one, while you do notice a lift in sharpness when you move from a 1440P to a 4K 27m screen, the difference isn’t as big as you might expect. At standard viewing distances, 2,560 x 1,440 pixels don’t have any obvious fuzz.

If you’re willing to accept this argument, this monitor’s advantages start multiplying. For a start, it comes with a far superior stand than its sibling. There’s 130mm of height adjustment, support for portrait mode and 90° of swivel. Plus, it simply feels higher quality.

That extends to the all-round design, with slim bezels on three sides and a stylish “brushed metal” effect on the bottom bezel. Once you remove the marketing stickers from the front, you’ll like what you see. One of those stickers proclaims support for AMD’s FreeSync technology, and while both a 75Hz peak refresh rate and 5ms response time would make pro gamers snicker in amusement, they’re fine for casual use.

It’s as a workday monitor that this Iiyama excels, though, particularly if you head to Iiyama’s i-Style Standard color profile. This locks brightness to 335cd/m2 and makes the most of the natural whites of the IPS panel; it covers 99.3% of the sRGB profile with an average Delta E of 0.28. While we would recommend wider gamut panels to anyone doing color sensitive work, this is a great panel for the daily grind.

It helps that Iiyama comes close to hitting the sRGB target 6500K color temperature while offering a fine contrast ratio (for an IPS screen) of 1,227:1. Colors pop.

We mourn the absence of USB-C and wish the speakers had a little more quality, but when you marry the image quality on offer with the low price, it becomes obvious why the XUB2792QSU-B1 steals the award away from its 4K rival.

3. DELL UltraSharp U2718Q

DELL UltraSharp U2718Q

When choosing a 4K gaming monitor, relying on Dell means benefiting from years of product refinement, as this brand was one of the first to enter Ultra HD monitor design, as early as 2013.

And for those who want to use and to get the most out of it, they will need a 4K monitor that meets the compatibility requirements. The Dell U2718Q is a great pick for those who have this need, and it’s also good option for for RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti CPU as well.

The response time is excellent, and the moving image is clear and crystal clear, no trace of movement was noticed when testing this model, making it particularly suitable for console gaming.

The available inputs are HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini Display Port, and 4 USB ports (two of which can charge your any rechargeable device even when the monitor is on standby).

The image quality is good, with a fairly high brightness, an excellent viewing angle even from a side position and a pleasant management of reflections, to make it attractive to those who have to install it even in a bright room.

As with the rest of the IPS monitors, here we also find that the image quality degrades if it is used in complete darkness, because the black level is not exceptional.

There is HDR support, but in this mode you will have a loss of brightness and the color gamut will not be very wide. Also, the Dell U2718Q is among the best 4K monitors for RTX 3080 Ti and it will give you the emotions you want.

4. Samsung C32HG70 32″ HDR QLED 144Hz 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor

Samsung C32HG70 32 HDR QLED 144Hz 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor

If you are looking for a gaming monitor to play in a dark room, for total immersion in the gaming environment, the best curved monitor we recommend is the Samsung CHG70, available in two versions of 27 and 32 inches, to choose the right screen size for your setup.

When used with high end GPUs, this display is exciting to say the least, offering you a truly immersive and enjoyable experience, with spectacular image quality and a depth of black that can easily counteract the dark room. The resolution is 1440p, and if you use it with console the monitor is capable of scaling the 4K signal automatically.

The absence of flicker and the excellent response time are just some of the positive features that this display offers, the image is sharp and the motion blur is rendered optimally. The colors are vibrant and well saturated, and the HDR mode gives a lot of satisfaction.

As this is a VA monitor with a curved panel, we recommend it only for solo gamers, and not for those who will use it in company, as the viewing angle is limited.

5. LG 27UK650-W 27 Inch 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor

LG 27UK650-W 27 Inch 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor

It can also be used with PC and PS5, the best 4K monitor for RTX 3080 Ti is the LG 27UK650-W. If you are also a gamer who uses different systems and you want to connect your PS5, XBox Series X and PC to the monitor, this 27 ″ monitor is an especially recommended option.

Its strong point is its versatility, since it supports AMD FreeSync with a variable refresh rate for a gaming experience without tears on the screen. Technology that is compatible with PS5, but that works with Xbox Series X and Series S and the latest generation of Best RTX 3080 Ti Graphics Cards. The image is also flicker-free across the entire surface.

As with other IPS monitors, when the room is dark, expect more faded blacks, and the HDR function is not very effective and does not add anything exciting to the image quality.

The resolution is 4K, to cover your back even for a possible console upgrade in the future, where 4K will likely be the new standard compared to Full HD. For those who currently own a PS5, thanks to the UHD resolution this is one of the most appropriate purchases.

Some flaws to note for clarity: There are no USB 3.0 inputs to load drivers or other peripherals, and there are no built-in audio speakers.

6. Acer XB Predator XB271HKbmiprz IPS 27″, 4K

Acer XB Predator XB271HKbmiprz IPS 27

The Acer Predator line of monitors does not need any introduction to the gaming world, this screen is one of the high-end products in the industry for its performance, design and price. This is the 27-inch 4K model with IPS and G-Sync technology.

For those who own a computer with an Nvidia GTX 3080 Ti or 3070 Ti graphics card, and are looking for a 4K screen, this monitor is the product to buy.

The resolution is 3840 × 2160, at 60Hz, 16: 9 screen ratio, 4ms lag, 300 cd / m2 brightness, 1000: 1 contrast, and a viewing angle of up to 178 horizontal degrees.

The aesthetics are clearly designed for gaming, with tricks in the base design that allow you to calibrate the position at will, and also rotate the screen in portrait mode.

Unlike other gaming displays, this monitor stands out because it has IPS technology and not TN. TN panels are good for gaming because they offer a very low 1ms latency, but lack color fidelity and viewing angle.

On the other hand, the Acer Predator XB271HK is based on IPS technology that offers better color gamut coverage, a faithful image even when viewed from a non-perpendicular angle, and still maintains a very low latency of 4 ms.

For the reasons described above, this screen is therefore excellent for gaming, but at the same time it is also good for graphics, design, consumption and multimedia content creation.
